A Decade of Travel...and not done yet!

I recently noticed that my passport had expired.  It left me feeling trapped and anxious!  I was trapped in the US! Ahhhh!

Luckily no new international travel plans have come to fruition since the expiration, and my new passport should be arriving in the next few weeks.

Its definitely scary sending your old passport off.  Its a treasured item of mine and documents the beginnings and endings of many amazing experiences.  I took pictures of each page before sealing the envelope (is that even legal?), just in case it doesn't find its way back to me.  The good ole passport office better return it in one piece as promised though.  I know they have at least received it at this point since my $110 check has been cashed.  Yes, $110 to renew your passport...boo...BUT, well worth it!

So what country should bare the first stamp in my new passport book?  This is a tough decision!

I was recently propositioned with a trip to Bali, so that might be the winner (and what pushed me to let go of my old passport in exchange for a new valid one).  I'm still waiting to find out if this trip is going to pan out, but I am REALLY hoping it happens!  Do I even have to think twice about New Years in Bali?!?!
I can't believe its been over 10 years since I departed on my first international trip. My Camp Adventure summers still feel like they were yesterday! I feel very fortunate to have so many stamps in my old passport!  Traveling has become a true passion of mine and I hope to see so much more in the future!

In other travel news...

I am heading to Colorado in mid-September.  My sister Laura moved there after college graduation and I am going for a visit!  I've never been to Colorado, so I am super excited to check it out.  I'm taking recommendations for things to do and see and eat, so send 'em on over if you have 'em!!  I'll be staying in Breckenridge, but passing through Denver too!

I'm also trying to convince my mom to take me on a trip for my 30th birthday coming up at the end of this year.  I think I've decided on New Orleans!  I've never been there either and it seems like an appropriate 30th birthday celebration destination.  I need to look into some deals so I can convince mom what a great idea this is!
